BanZai Food is a mobile Thai and Japanese street food truck bringing a true taste of the Far East to the UK.

We hold a 5-star food hygiene rating and we use all authentic ingredients even locally sourced produce whenever possible. Customers who visit our truck can see their food being prepared right in front of them for an extra dash of authenticity.

OUR CHEF

Meet Chef May, head chef and founder of BanZai Food. BanZai was set up in August 2017 due to frustration with the lack of food choices in rural areas around Lincoln in addition to the high food delivery costs, May has combined the key ingredients of passion and experience to create a unique culinary experience.

From student to Sensei, May has been trained by some of the best in the industry including top teppanyaki chef Andrew Thong and sushi expert Keiko Yamamoto who featured on Channel 4’s ‘Food Chain’ programme in 2016. May’s biggest claim to fame came whilst working at Ethan’s Japanese Steak House in Lincoln, cooking for and serving Lincolnshire’s very own, Guy Martin.

Originally from Nan Province in Northern Thailand, May has settled down in Lincoln and has the appetite for expanding the business further around the UK.
